Let me Introduce myself....
Hi, my name is Chelsea. I have been working as a Massage Therapist for 5 years now. From a very early age I have always found Anatomy very interesting. I love learning about how bodies work. From a very early age I’ve wanted to have a job where I can make a positive impact on the world. I decided health care was the best way to go. It took me a few years to find this career path; originally, I was originally thinking of becoming a Nurse. However I realized that job wasn’t fulfilling enough for me. I wanted something that would bring more meaning to my life. I wanted to watch people get better, and know that I made a positive impact in their lives.
I went to Massage School at Cortiva Institute in Seattle. Originally, I was thinking of just using it as a steppingstone, while I went to school for an undergraduate degree in something else. I ended up loving massage so much (and was naturally good at it). That I decided to make that my career instead.
However, Massage is a physically demanding job. I decided to go back to school so I can work part time doing something, while I still did Massage part time as well. I am currently enrolled at PCC for the Exercise Science Program. It is my goal to work with clients to teach them how to not reinjure themselves. As a therapist I often see the same clients frequently coming for a massage for the same reason. I want to be apart of a clients entire care plan, not just one small part of it.
